The Bridge Whitby Church (formerly Faith Baptist Church) was founded in 1951.
-
The Bridge Whitby Church (formerly Faith Baptist Church) began in the homes of its early members before moving to the Town of Whitby's Council Chambers in 1951.
In 1954, the congregation built its first church building at 421 Brock Street. After 1959, the church moved into a second building on the lot beside its original location, where it remained until 1979.
During the transition to its current location, the congregation temporarily gathered for worship in a local school before moving into its third and present-day building at 95 Taunton Road in 1981.
The church has continued to grow and serve the Whitby community from this location, expanding its facilities in 1996 with the addition of a gymnasium.

Faith Baptist Church became The Bridge Whitby Church (legally known as The Bridge on Taunton Ministries) in 2017.
